New Developer Joins Stockstreet

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Vincent Saputro, our new gun web developer down here at Stockstreet.

Vincent has worked for some of Melbourne's best known agencies and we're delighted to have him onboard. Vincent's arrival will give us much greater scope to expand our workload, so I'll take this opportunity to call out to all our loyal Stockstreet customers who may have had certain website adjustments on the backburner - now is the time to get ambitious on the web!

In the coming weeks, we will be announcing further expansions to Finetune, our easy-to-use Content Management System, such as "Member Login" features, CSV Import and Export features and "Add To Favourites" features. Plus "Spree", our new eCommerce offering will also be out next month.

Update Twitter From Inside Finetune

Hi all,

Twitter has become a powerful tool used by businesses to market their products & services, keeping their customers informed of the latest trends, and give your business a more personal feel.

Twitter Post is a new plugin that creates a simple integration between your Finetune and Twitter accounts. Once set up your content editors can update your Twitter account from Finetune's admin program. No longer will you have to share your account with each individual who updates your company's Twitter account.

What's more, because Twitter Post is available through Finetune, Stockstreet's favourite Content Management System, you'll only have to log in to one area to manage all of your company's online content.

Meet Shaminee Muthu

Hi all,

It's my pleasure to introduce all Stockstreet clients to our new Office
Manager, Shaminee Muthu. You'll recognise Shaminee (or "Sham" as she is also affectionately known) as
the bright spark answering the phones, chasing content and keeping you in
the loop on project developments.

Sham brings a wealth of administrative and project management experience
from a variety of creative agencies and her regular communications with all

Finetune CMS replaces Adobe Contribute

As a provider of Adobe Contribute content managed sites in the past, we had come across a number of issues that frustrated both customers and staff alike. These issues included:

1. Site-wide change issues - Adjustments to banner ads or news items on every pagehave had to be sent to Stockstreet.
2. Speed issues - although Adobe promotes Contribute's ability to perform edits "on the fly", we found many clients performing edits "on the stroll" as they waited for pages to check out and check in.
3. Single location editing - if you are away from your computer and need to change a price, you can guarantee that no internet cafe has ever had Contribute installed on a PC and even if they did, would you have your FTP details handy?
4. License fees - Many clients want multiple staff members to update the site. Easy, as long as you pull out your wallet to fork out $249 per license.
5. Lack of scalability - want to add eCommerce or a search function to your site? Forget it. As static Contribute sites have no database driving them, it's back to the drawing board for your website.

As a result of these issues and the desire to create the perfect Content Management System (CMS) for non-technical SME's, Stockstreet is proud to present Finetune CMS.

Finetune is built on a MYSQL database that means that it can handle 10 pages exactly the same way it handles 10,000. Let's see how this flexibility impacts the issues described above:

1. Site-wide change issues - unlike Contribute, chnages in Finetune can affect one page, a number of pages or all pages, depending on how you want your site setup.
2. Speed issues - Finetune is as fast as your internet connection because all changes are made via your browser (i.e. Internet Explorer). As soon as you click save, the change is made.
3. Single location editing - as all changes in Finetune are made via a browser, you can make changes anywhere in the world, even from your phone!
4. License fees - Finetune's initial one-off license fee is $50 cheaper than Contribute and that license allows you to create as many users as you like at no extra charge.
5. Lack of scalability - as Finetune is built on a MYSQL database, it shares the same foundations as many popular eCommerce, forum and gallery applications.
